Adrianne mentioned that she wanted to hear about the boy I am dating. Well, what do you guys want to know?

His name is Gabriel Lee. Yes the same Lee family that most of you know very well from high school. I have been best friends with Gabe's younger sister Celeste for 16 years. We started dance together with Miss Debbie in Spanish Fork. I never thought that I would be dating her brother and he never thought that he would be dating me. I was always the best friend of his sister so when we started to notice the attraction between us it shocked us. I must say though... when we first held hands, it felt, for lack of a better word, familiar. And not just because I have held hands with someone before. It felt familiar with him. He said it first, and then after thinking about it a bit, one night it just felt right, it felt familiar.

So now what else do you want to know?

Well, Dad is yet to meet this young man. What is he studying? Where did he go an his mission? How did you get started dating? There are lots of things to learn, and I am interested.

I want to know all of the questions your Dad is asking too! How old is he? How long have you been dating?

I want to know if he is going to be in Elk Ridge with you on Saturday! -Jen

Ha, Ha...more questions than you expected huh? By the way, I knew Mike was "the one" because I didn't even notice we were holding hands at first. It was just familiar and natural. So, watch out, sister.

I wouldn't mind that Adrianne. He is amazing, but only time will tell. We have been dating for almost three weeks, so not that long. He won't be there on Saturday unfortunately. :( He is on Young Ambassadors for his second year right now and they have a thing that night.
Dad, you will meet him on Friday though. He is done with class on Friday at one and I am done at 12 because my other two classes are canceled so we are going to hang out in Salem and Elk Ridge and what not. See family and just enjoy being home.
He is 21, will be 22 in January. He graduated the year after Gillian and two years before me. He is planning on doing Music Education but has to get the prerequisites done first before he can audition. He wants to go into the CES program after graduation. He just wants to teach really. He went to Kobe Japan on his mission and has been home for seven weeks, it will be eight on Friday.
How we started dating was interesting. We went on a double date with Sarah Clark (Rachel Clark's younger sister, and soon my roommate!)and Austin Andrus. We all knew each other from high school. We went to the sensuous sub on center street for dinner and then dancing at this place that studio 600 uses every now and then. It was a ballroom night that night. It was fun. After that we went to the Malt Shoppe and got some shakes. After devouring our amazing shakes we went to their apartment and set up outside to watch Fiddler on the Roof. Sarah had never seen it all the way through. I could tell that Gabe was changing his perspective of me as the night went on. It was quite interesting. I never had thought about him that way. As we hung out more and went on a date, just the two of us, only a few days later, we were able to understand things a little more clearly. I was falling for him and he was falling for me.
He hadn't been feeling well so my friend Kayla and I made this amazing dinner and brought him some. He had said that he had to go to a movie for American Heritage the next day and wanted to know if anyone wanted to join him. The movie was A More Perfect Union. I love that movie so I said that I would go. So the next day comes and we start talking about him and I, and how we are not idiots and can tell the other one liked them. And a touch of the hand kind of sealed the deal. I can't remember the exact way of how it came up but it was pretty much perfect. He tells it a lot better than I do because he is really good with words. Me not so much.
Anything else?

Good luck, Kaitlin. Be good.

By the way, did you know a girl named JoEll at Payson High? I don't know her maiden name but her married name is Carling. She graduated in 2009.

I don't know a JoEll. I didn't go to Payson remember? I was a SF Don and a SH Sky Hawk, no Payson Lion in our family. I will be good, don't worry.
