Happy Birthday?

My dear (older) sister Chelsey is experiencing a bit of a traumatic event today. She's always been this young spring chicken-like lady, full of energy, able to handle whatever is tossed her way, and still manage to look good while doing it.

However, today is different. Why? Because she just got old. It's suddenly going to be much harder to maintain what was once so easy. It must be lame turning 35. I think AARP automatically adds you to their mailing list at this age.

Anyway, have fun! And Happy Birthday to my only older sister.

Now Jess's post was a bit depressing..... just wait until you hit 60 - it's pretty awful.
You are just in your prime with so many great experiences ahead of you.
Have a wonderful day. I hope your family pampers you, brings you breakfast in bed, makes dinner for you, etc. Go play..... (while your age still lets you).
I love you!

Don't worry Jess...your time is quickly approaching!

Funny thing though; I just mentioned to Brent today that a few days ago, my knees started both hurting again (it's been a few months) and I started having another flare up of costochondritus again last night. When I mentioned this stuff to Brent today, he laughed and said, "Well, you DID just turn 35. What did you expect?" Nice.

I did have a great bday though. I'm glad Brent has a few days off to spend here at home. We spent the day down at Ocean City, enjoying an escape from this oppressive humidity and heat. Family time is the most valuable gift these days, so I'm grateful to have it!

And Jess, this spring chicken can still do 45 pushups. Don't count out this "nearing AARP member" yet .... even as I waddle around with achey joints!
