A Few Odds & Ends

Here are a few odds & ends of photos & activities.
Kaitlin with her new "do" all ready to go to school tomorrow -- wahoo, she's a junior!

Mike's mom, Carol Richards, has been in Utah with her husband visiting with relatives (he's working at Fort Douglas). She had a couple of extra hours so she came up to Shriners to visit with us. We had a great time and we sure did appreciate the time she spent with us!

Yep - she has a fractured bone (fifth metatarsal on her left foot). Not a great way to start school seeing as how she is supposed to be dancing in the first ever assembly at Salem Hills High School tomorrow morning. She has to wear the boot for six weeks! No dancing for a while. She has been walking and dancing on it the best she could until we got her into a doctor. No go, kiddo.

This is the "hill" that Hans ran up -- all the way to the top and back within an hour and a half when they were out here last summer. I put this on to show him what it looks like now - a big fire covered the mountain - citizens of Spring Lake were evacuated. Luckily, the canal stopped the fire from spreading into the town. On the backside of this mountain is a scout camp, Camp Maple Dell. All scouts were evacuated (our ward was one group). You can see the green at the top. Sad.

Where in the world is Jess? A little fun with a photo.

That's an awesome last picture. he's inside, in the reflection. Cool mom. By the way, Hans ran up and back down that mountain within an hour, not an hour and a half. He's the man! :) Katie, I love your new hair. Sorry about the foot. I hear there are three of us in the fam who are crippled with our feet now. Sad. I guess I'm not the only one that's accident prone.

I was there when she took the photo, and looked at it after she took it, but for some reason I can't see my reflection now. My mind, oh my mind, where has it gone?

That's too bad about your foot Katy! I like the hair. You look much older.

Kaitlin - your hair looks gorgeous!
Ammon - you look great, buddy!
We miss you! Henry enjoyed looking at the pictures, although, he thought that Kaitlin was Gillian. :)

Jess, you're standing ni the tree to the left. I thought this was really funny so I posted it.
Lindsey - how's your "bee" foot?
For any that didn't know, Lindsey has discovered she is allergic to bees. She got stung on the toe and ended up in the ER. It was kind of scary and she said it was really swollen and hurts badly. Did the red go outside the circle or is it better now?
