We went and unfortunately, we had to come home! Maui was incredible and we'll certainly try to get back there sometime. We now understand why Jess and Jen love it so much! The pictures are great! I wish I had been there. By the way, Chels, there is one picture towards the top in which you look just like Shawn Teichert. I am glad that you two had fun even with the delay getting there.

Awesome trip! It was fun to look through the pics and remember being in some of those places. I wish all the siblings could take a sweet vacation together to a place like this. Imagine the memories and fun we'd have if we went as a group.
That would be awesome. Let's all get lots of money saved and babysitters or wait until our kids are all old enough to leave by themselves and go!
It was really fun to meet some families that were doing just that-- their kids were all adults and they'd saved up to take a huge family trip together, grandbabies and all. We stood in line at the luau with a family that was doing that. They were all looking very happy! Maui is definitely a memory making place!
We were in line at a restaurant and the couple in front of us were retired dentists from Seattle. He said that 30 years ago he bought a beach-front house on Kaanapali Beach for $200K. They come and live in it 5 months of the year now and their kids come over periodically to visit. What a sweet setup.
That house would easily fetch $1M now. And to think my primary residence only went for $150K when we bought it (but worth ~$250K now!)
