An Update
Well, we are committed whether we should be or not. The wall is almost all gone. I made Jim help me tack up a sheet over our living room window so the world couldn't see the mess.
Dad has done a great job with the clean up every day after he knocks out a portion of the wall.
This is the last corner left - it has to wait for the electricians to change the phone line and the two-way switches to a different wall.
No TV is left in the living room. Does anybody want a good, decent TV? We have two to give away. Jim looks nice and comfy in our family room now with his chair down here.

Wow, that is great! Looks like you guys are making great progress ... and all on your own!
Crazy to see those two rooms open to each other. I like it! In the end, I'm sure this will make it much easier for Ammon to move around in there. Keep up the good work.
Hey, you were supposed to wait until I could take a whack at that wall! It looks great! I cannot wait to see it all pull together.
