THE Game

I've got some funny vendors but one thing I like is that I have a good enough rapport with them that even though they live in the middle of the Ute country, they still root for BYU. I just got an e-mail from a sales rep at Sysco Intermountain. All it said in great big letters was:

One vendor has actually placed bets on BYU beating Utah.  I wouldn't do that if I were him.  He is the ONLY BYU fan in his building. If he puts BYU decoration up, his co-workers rip it down. Sad...

Actually, I'm trying to get into the mode of not caring about football any more. It is too stressful. I feel a little heartsick today because I do care and because I hate the Utes and because I don't have the confidence that our team will beat the Utes. This enemy always seems to get into our heads and messes with us. Let's just hope that we keep our heads, play our game and forget that the Utes mock baptized a few guys in their ice tub in August. Pearls and swine don't mix.
There -- I said it. I really don't like the Utes. I really don't like that we play them. I wish they would drop the series altogether. It brings the nastiness out of both sides, especially me.

Spencer Hadley. Ha ha. Should be a good one this year.

What's funny about Spencer Hadley? He got what he deserved. Too bad the rest of the sports world won't make their kids accountable.

Yeah, it only took a very public blackmailing by some Ute loser. I mean, come on Mom.

The whole thing is actually quite funny.

I think some coaches and administrators don't hold their kids accountable enough, but I would not speak in extremes to that.
