This is above our bed. You can just see at the bottom of the picture Eli's masterpiece. We come in our room and find a new picture taped to our wall everyday. Sometimes from Eli sometimes from Isaac. I need to find a little picture or something to go in the little square frame .
So far these three are just really light so I need to pain the wall so you can see them better. They don't stand out very well right now.
I copied this picture off of pinterest. I thought it looked like me and Mike. He's tall and skinny with glasses and I'm short and chubby (for now!) with a pony-tail.
I also made this map thing. I bought a cheap road atlas at Walmart and cut the places out that we have been to together--Glendale California, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, and then of course, Provo (where we met)
I also framed a letter that Mike sent to me when we were engaged and he was in Maryland and I was in Provo. I think I'll go try and find one of my letters and frame them next to each other. Is that too cheesy?
This is not our room, but our living room. I've been trying to spruce it up a bit. I tried to fancy up the mantle and wanted to add a pop of color so I did yellow. I was worried it was too yellow. What do you think?
I found this cute yellowish vase at a store--don't remember the name of the store. I loved it. It's a little funky but I think it is so fun. My front room is just so black and red and I wanted to bring in a tanish tone to soften it up. I still need to find some other tan things to bring in. Also, I need to paint our green table.
This is my photo wall that is in the family room. I printed the quotes off and wanted to tie in the yellow from the mantle and the blue from the curtains. Does it work?
Anyway, there are some of my projects for your viewing pleasure.

I love the hearts and the vase and everything, such great ideas!
In love the yellow! I don't think there is such thing as too much yellow or too intense. I also really like the sketch of the woman and man...did you print it or copy it by free hand?
Thanks Michelle!
Tana, Good. I'm glad the yellow is ok. I like yellow because it's a happy color. Also, I did it free hand. The original is in a charcoal.
I love the yellow as well. I like lots of bold colors, so stick with the yellow. I also like the blue with it. The map hearts is such a cute idea too. If you like that vase, you have got so see some of mine. I've started collecting cool looking vases that I find at flea markets. A lot of mine look like the one you bought. Good taste girl!

There are so many things here I like - the mantle in the family room looks great! I love the picture of man and woman. That is so tender and cute. The maps are a very clever idea, too.
I wish you would come out and help me decorate my famly room walls.
