I was supposed to be in Virginia this week to observe a prescribed fire on the George Washington / Jefferson National Forest. My office was coordinating an overflight with three sensors (HD video, Nikon still frame, and multispectral infrared) over the fire to test some new technology out.
However, I traveled last week (Sacramento) and am traveling next week (Tucson) and we have a ward activity that I'm kinda-sorta planning / putting on this Friday, so I begged out of my Virginia trip. Turns out this was a good decision because the prescribed fire has been pushed back 3+ days due to high winds, meaning I would have traveled out there on Monday and stayed longer than a week and potentially missed my speaking engagement at my Tucson conference. Sad I didn't get to go hang out with the Fairfax Clarks, but glad I'm not stuck out in Virginia with my own family at home.

Your wife is glad too!
We would have loved to see you but with all that traveling it is good you could stay home with the family!
