Out of town
Mike's gone to Texas for a few days. I'm frustrated by him leaving but understand he needs to go. He has to go so he can tutor some girls that are on the basketball team at the Academy. They are on probation and requested a tutor and he is the only one available. It's crazy to me. When I needed a tutor in college I went and found one--I didn't go to my professor and ask him to tutor me. Mike asked what they wanted him to do with his time when he was done tutoring and they said, "Hang out with the team, go to their practices, their game, get to know them..." Of course we all know how much he loves sports so this will be kinda funny. They also want him to eat with them except they won't provide his food--he's allowed to eat the team's leftovers. It's just silly. Anyway, it's just a short trip and so it shouldn't be too bad...

I hate that he had to go out of town. Super lame. I hope last night went ok, I said a prayer for you!

What an odd assignment. -Jess
At least it's not the cheerleading squad.
Oh Lindsey - I like your comment. :)
Well, the funny thing about Lindsey's comment is that he had a student who was on the cheerleading squad. She asked Mike if he wanted to be the officer representative for cheer leading. Had he accepted, he would have gotten to hang out with them ALL the time. Glad he had the brains to tell her no.
