What was that you were saying, Mom?

I seem to remember a conversation with Mom just yesterday about how dead the blog had been lately. Then I looked on here today, and there's 3 or 4 new posts! See, we're just saving it all up for ya, Mom!

Here's my contribution:

We've been busy digging out a few halloween decorations from the boxes still buried in the basement. The kids (and I) were delighted to find the forgotten treasures from last year. I had forgotten about these cute vinyl decorations I'd found at Home Goods (my secret love -- who'm I kidding...it's no secret I LOVE Home Goods). These were on clearance for 4 bucks for the whole bunch last year. Gotta love a good deal!

Don't you love the picture of Christ next to the spiderwebbed chandelier? :)

On a sadder note, poor Chester has been sick. Last night Brent and I noticed his nose looked swollen. After closer examination, we realized his nose was actually bleeding. He wasn't acting like his usual chipper self, and this looks terrible this morning. I called the vet first thing and took him in.

I'm crossing my fingers that the ointment and medications the vet prescribed will work and clear this up. If not, we could be in real trouble. The vet said the symptoms he is displaying also mimic autoimmune diseases, like Lupus. Needless to say, I'm worried. We're supposed to keep a close eye on his wound and make sure it doesn't get worse. If it does, we'll have to take biopsys and hope for the best. Feel free to keep our poor dog in your prayers!

I'll try to get a few more posts done on our blog in the next few days, with some of the recent events we've had going on too.
Enjoy Conference weekend, everybody!

Oh dear, poor Chester. I hope he recovers quickly and isn't in pain.

Sorry that Chester is under the weather. I hope it isn't anything really serious.
I like your Halloween decorations. I haven't put any up yet. Guess it's time to think about it, at least.
