Why sunscreen was invented

We went swimming yesterday for two hours. I put sunscreen on all of us before we left. I failed, however, to get my legs. This was the result. Ouch. I have never had a burn this bad. Thankfully, the boys didn't get burned, except Isaac got a little more sun on his already pink cheeks and nose. Can you tell we aren't used to seeing this much sun?! I took this picture this morning and believe it or not, it looks way better than it did last night. It was all puffy and swollen and almost purple. Even though I put sunscreen on the rest of me, I still got a little pink on my arms, face, and chest as well. Crazy I tell ya. This elevation is going to make me have skin cancer!

I wish you were here, I would give you this amazing cream that I got in the Canary Islands. I burned my legs so bad over there I had huge blisters all over my thighs. I feel your pain girl! Hope you feel better soon.

I hate sunburns. This year, before I Got into the sun I went tanning twice (only for 6 minutes each time) so that I Didn't get a bad sunburn on my fair skin. I know, I know, tanning is bad for you, but I actually don't get burnt as bad if I go twice just as the season starts. My skin is so fair that it burns so easily unless I have a little bit of a tan. Good luck with your sunburn! Aloe Vera!

Oh my gosh! That looks very painful. The only good thing that could come of it is if it doesn't peel and leaves you some nice tan legs. (how's that for making lemonade out of lemons :)
