I've Got a Bet
This sunset beat anything I saw in the Midwest. Jim disagrees although he thinks this was pretty spectacular. Did anybody in Utah see this tonight? It was stunning.

Red sky at night = sailor's delight. I didn't see it being that extreme up in SLC. The mountains on the east side of the valley sure were pretty, though. I don't have a good view to the west to see great sunsets. -Jess
That tree looks like a feathered hat. I've never seen anything like it either.

no I love the sunset however it looks.
That plant is what they call a Royal Purple Smoke Bush or Smoke Tree. It is actually a pretty good drought tolerant tree once you get it going.
