Conference Weekend

At the beginning of the week, the forecast for Conference weekend was a beautiful one. Yesterday was windy but very warm - about 71 degrees. It was a great day. A couple of days ago the forecast changed a bit and rain and snow was expected (at least by the weatherman). What we got was totally unexpected by any of us. Dad took the two pictures below.
There was enough snow to get the snowplow out this morning. That's unusual for him. No Sunday services, no school. I figured he'd leave it all until it melted but he made a run up our street just so Kevin and Gillian can get up here for lunch and a Conference session.

Happy spring everybody -- it's headed your way.

My neighbor measured 8.5 inches. I figured we'd get some light snow and that not much would stick around, given the fact that it was 74 in SLC yesterday. But it stuck just fine. I refuse to shovel and will let Mother Nature clean up the mess she created (short of dragging my broken tree branches off my fence -- I'll do that). -Jess

Wow that's a lot of snow for April. Sorry, hope it melts super quick.

Ha! For once we have better weather than you, and were actually in the right places at the right times. Although it would make me cry to see all that snow after the promise of spring, at least it's beautiful.

SOOOO glad we don't have that right now. Rain and wind maybe, but I'll take that over snow! Hopefully, it's already melted.
