Billowing smoke welcomed Dave and I as we drove into Provo. My heart aches as I think about the scene that greeted us. The beautiful Provo Tabernacle is burning down. They do not know the cause yet.

Jess and I saw that on ksl this morning...so sad!
Yeah, truly sad. Nancy and I used to live really close to the Tabernacle and had our stake conferences there. Hopefully it will be restored quickly.
I don't believe it can be restored. They think the whole building is gone -- I think it will need to be torn down and something re-built in its place.
That's really sad. I remember singing a solo in that building when I was about 14. Doesn't Grandma Teichert have a painting inside that building? That's just sad.

Yes, she had a painting of Peter, James and John ordaining Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery hanging in there. It was a HUGE painting. Unless a miracle took place, that painting was probably lost as well. It was one of her best.
Geez, so Dave arrives and a huge pile up on I-15 occurs, killing someone. Then the next morning the Provo Tabernacle burns. Can't wait till tomorrow. -Jess
Geez Dave! Ha ha.
Yep, things happen in 3's. Earlier this week, a close friend of the Robinsons (former bishop, not that old either) died. Then a house just two blocks away from us burnt down completely, and now the Tabernacle...
Hopefully that is the end for us for awhile.
I bring good tidings.
