Ammon may be coming home today. He had surgery yesterday morning to insert a new shunt and Jim said he did great! Ammon told me on the phone that he was very brave. Obviously I wasn't there - I was here at work - but I should have been up there with him; not because Jim couldn't handle it, but because I don't handle it very well when I'm not there. I worry too much, I guess.
Ammon's voice was very strong yesterday and Jim said his eyes were back to normal. They were actually back to normal by Sunday morning once they started draining enough fluid out of the ventricles.
He had to have a CT scan today and if everything looks good, they could be coming home this afternoon. I'm trying not to get too excited about it. I had planned to go up there after work and hang out with them but I may not have to!!
Ammon will have to come home with a pic line so we can continue to give him antibiotics for a while but they said he could go to school with the line in. We'll take him however we can get him. I've waited for Jim to post something because he's up there and knows what's going on better than I do. We'll keep you updated.

I'm so glad he is home! I bet you are all happy to be in your own beds and get to eat your own food.
