WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS HOUSE????!!! GRR!!

Oh my! I am so close to just freaking out at this point. As many of you know, Gillian's old room flooded about a month ago. We are just now putting the carpet back in.... after a month. It has been a ridiculous process to get to this point and I have pretty much had it with this. We also have the ceiling torn out in the hall and a small section of the family room for the new vent system that is just now starting to work after many weeks of work. I am very fed up.

The worst thing of all though.... I woke up this morning and we had breakfast. As most people do in the morning, I had to go to the bathroom. So I go into my bathroom (the down stairs bathroom) and I get dripped on. I was so confused and that is when I saw the HUGE bubble that was full of water and about to explode from the looks of it. I yelled to Dad to get his butt down and look at it. It was so full of water and it has been almost an hour and there are still little drops of water dripping down. Dad took off some sheet rock and is currently on the phone with a plumber.

I don't know why this happened and I am so mad that it did now. The family is coming with in a week and there are so many issues with the downstairs that it is ridiculous! Oh my.......

There's nothing wrong with your house. It is just like everyone else's house. Like people, houses have problems, too. Even new houses have problems. Oftentimes new houses have more problems than older houses. Welcome to life.

Fun! Is the leak from your bathroom upstairs? -Jess

Yes, the leak is from our upstairs bathtub. It was an internal leak so we didn't know it - it has ruined the carpet pad and an edge of the carpet as well plus now there's a huge hole in our nice bathroom downstairs ceiling.
Oh well - you guys are family and you know the messes we've often been in during our lives so I hope no one freaks out when you come to find holes in the ceilings.
Apparently some of the subfloor was damaged as well. Our house insurance will pay for the damage after a $500.00 dedutable, which we don't have right now. I just wish it had waited until after the wedding. Dang!
The carpet will be re-installed tomorrow about noon - finally.

Jess, you are funny.... :). It dripped and then it didn't rain, it poured. Just ask Dad and Kaitlin. At least it wasn't cats and dogs.
