Yo

What's everyone doing this week? We are getting our house ready to sell.

Getting ready to sell, eh? I heard a rumor that you're leaving OKC in May, right? On to OHIO! HIO! HIO! (All I can think about is Drew Carey singing in the opening credits to The Drew Carey Show.)

What are we doing? I spoke in church yesterday. Great times had by all. I'm running a combined activity this week. Not only am I new at my calling (YM President), but they just called a new YW presidency yesterday, so both of us are stumbling. We're viewing part of the "A Brand New Year" DVD the church recorded. Incidentally, our ward youth got to go to the Conference Center to watch the actual taping of that DVD. They were in the audience. Have any of the youth in your wards watched it yet?

We've got two wedding receptions this week: one on Thursday in Orem and one on Friday in North Salt Lake.

Jen babysat today (she watches two kids once a week). Jen and I made plans to go to Orlando, FL, in two weeks (Tuesday - Friday). I'm going for a work meeting on a Wednesday and Thursday morning, so Jen's coming along to hang out at the pool. We seriously considered bringing Abby along to take her to Disney World, but heavens to betsy, Disney costs a buttload of cash. No thanks. We hope to get to Cape Canaveral and perhaps Cocoa Beach while out there. Maybe Gatorland...

The federal job in my office I've been waiting for for over a year to open up is finally almost open. It doesn't present a financial upgrade, really, but it does present a benefits upgrade and a future. Internally, I'm the most qualified for the position, but I don't know what kind of outside interest we'll get. I'm slowly dusting off the resume (haven't used it really for 6 years).

Not much, to answer your question... I'm sure that's more than you were expecting. Glad to see another post! -Jester

I am just getting confused all this week. Between my accounting class and especially my macroeconomics class, I am a little lost.

Oh, and of course our two year anniversary is on Sat.!

I'm trying to get over sore muscles (I'm finally hitting the gym hard again) and tired of dealing with cable companies. (BTW Adrianne, after I talked to you yesterday, I still had to talk to Time Warner for another HOUR! Brent finally called and within 1/2 of him calling the district manager called and said a refund would be coming our way. Why don't they take me seriously? Why does the man of the house have to call? I seriously despise dealing with customer service people who "have no authority".)

I've been wondering when someone would make a new post. I figured that everybody was just very, very busy. I don't have much to report---Ammon's care is slowly becoming a way of life now. We aren't always in the panic mode. He even talked Gillian through a suction session when Jim had to leave for a while. She had watched but had never done it so he told her he would talk her through it -- and he did. I think he will be able to suction himself before long. He knows all the machines and how to turn them on, etc., etc. We are making progress.
I am thinking about setting up my own blog to record my "musings." :) I think I will call it "Snorkling through the Sludge." How does that sound?
We have nurses coming to the house five times a week. It's been wonderful to get a break.
Kaitlin went on a date last Friday with a new boy interest and had a great time. Gillian is going back to school full-time during the day and if she sticks to it, she could be done by April. Her plan is to move out by May.
Snow is melting but it's still waist high. We are having some nice days this week.
Life is moving along for all of us.

Mom, I think that is a great idea to start your own blog. Jess, we are moving the end of April most likely. Lance, we still haven't sent the rest of the present. I hope you don't mind...

Today Mike left to California until Friday. He has a work thing. His mom and Dad are in California with his grandparents. His grandpa had a stroke and is having a hard time recovering. Mike is going to get to see them while in California. The high there today is 80! He will probably go to the beach.

While he is in California, we are here at home. I took the boys to the play area in the mall so they could get out. Then we came home and I put the boys down for a nap and then I taped the walls and such to get ready to paint the hall. I also had to take down the cupboards and take off the handles and stuff. Then we went and played outside with Diamond. Now I am making dinner and then it is time to pack everyone up so Will can go to dance class.

Then the kids go to bed and I have dishes, laundry, etc. Long, busy day. Tomorrow shouldn't be quite so full.

Mom said it all, so I am just a worker at home. Ammon and I do homework, I do the dishes in our new dishwasher, feed my pigeons including my new babies, and wait for my woman to come home to hug me. That makes a good day.
