New Year's Eve -- Early

We cheat on New Year's Eve. Instead of keeping the family up 'till midnight, we pretend we're on Eastern Time. We had Jen's brother and his wife and 2 kids over to our house for some Papa Murphy's pizza and IBC rootbeer. Around 9:55pm Mountain Time, Jen's brother (Kevin) did an internet search for a NYC television station and started streaming the live Times Square activities. We put the stream in full screen mode and then plugged the computer up to our television via an RBG cable to watch the ball drop.

The girls had fun watching what was going on and it was good to have everything done by 10:20pm. Jen and I stayed up to watch a movie and did indeed see midnight Mountain Time. Hope everyone enjoyed their New Year's festivities. On New Year's Day we went to Elk Ridge to help with the dishwasher installation and to go sledding at Gladstan.

I'm not sure why all the girls were so excited to watch two of Dad's favorite politicians: Hill and Billary Clinton. On a related note, did anyone else feel slimy watching the two of them "embrace" after the ball dropped as they feigned interest in each other?

I didn't even watch current events on New Year's Eve. We watched a movie until about 9:00 p.m., got Ammon ready for bed and then read a book until I fell asleep. I know I would have felt slimy watching the Clintons pretend again. (Yuk)
Looks like you had a nice night.
Thanks for all your hard work getting that dishwasher installed. It works like a charm!!

That is pretty funny watching the girls all intent on the TV with the Clinton's. Happy New Years
