Independence Day

Anybody doing anything fun for July 4th? Anybody going to stay up to see "dawn's early light?" We're still trying to figure out what we're going to do. It'll probably involved grilling in the evening and sitting in our driveway hoping some of our neighbors purchased fireworks.

I know Mike and Adrianne are in beautiful Maryland for a few weeks. Anyone else partying?!

We're heading down to Elk Ridge on Sunday!

We have no plans whatsoever. I heard there is a great fireworks display in Nephi (free) but I don't know if it would be worth the gas to go down there.
Our street used to get together every year and do fireworks at one place or another, but that hasn't happened for a couple of years. I think we may take Ammon to Wall-E because he's dying to see it and thought it might be kind of quite on the 4th since everybody else will probably be elsewhere. We haven't decided yet - no plans set.

We are having a great time here in Maryland. We went to DC yesterday and that was really cool.

We have no plans except that Jason is teaching Body Pump this morning and I'm teaching Zumba. Other than that nothing. This would be a great day to live closer to family so we could have plans.

I agree with Michelle! We have NOTHING planned today. And to top it all off, it's only going to be around 70 degrees and pouring rain all day. Some of the big displays in town have actually been cancelled already. I think we'll go buy a few fireworks ourselves today and do our own. We've always been to cheap to do that, but there's nothing else going on anywhere. It hardly feels like the 4th!

This is my favorite holiday and so we're trying to have fun all day.
This morning Adam made us a big yummy breakfast. Then we went outside to watch the jets pass by. In the early afternoon we're going swimming at the Scera pool (we originally wanted to go to the lake, but we figured the kids might do better at the pool this year). Then we're having a bbq and we've invited a bunch of our neighbors. Then we're going up to byu to watch the jets and the fireworks. Should be fun.
Jess - we'll see you on Sunday!

Hey, we are going in a few minutes to see Wall-E with Ammon. It think even I will like it after seeing the trailer on the internet.

We have had a great morning talking, sleeping in, and had a great breakfast with link sausages and pancakes. Even Gillian liked my homemade pancakes this morning.

Tonight we are going to go to Adam's and then enjoy the fireworks from the Bean Museum. Then tomorrow we will sleep in.

I recently read the Declaration of Independence. It is a wonderful document. Don't forget to tell your families that this day is not just good times, but its great meaning for the world. This country has been the harbinger of freedom in the world now for over two hundred years. And then, there is the fact that only in such a place could the gospel have been restored as it was. Now it is going forth to the world with vigor. That alone is a great reason for a celebration!
