More Trivia

Does anyone see anything siginificant in this photo? (You may have to enlarge it to see.)

I truly believe BYU has one of the most beautiful campuses in the world - not the buildings, but the grounds. This beautiful little spot uses recyled water and it was built because the large canal running around campus had to be enclosed, causing many people to feel sad because the canal attracted lots of ducks. Ducks have a new spot to rest now.
One day the administrators of BYU had to meet with the Presiding Bishopric in SLC going over budgets for the new year. The Bishop questioned the large dollars budgeted for grounds for the campus. They were asked to come back with better reasons for such an expensive budget and few of the administrators could come up with satisfactory answers. A professor came up with the right reason - he wrote a letter to the head of grounds at BYU, Ron Peterman, and thanked him for his great work. He had just entertained a professor from out of state and as they walked around the campus, the visiting professor made the statement that he wasn't quite certain what he was feeling, but the beauty of the place made it feel almost sacred. The budget was approved and the grounds continue to be beautiful and peaceful.

Not our Mary Clark.

Deborah was a hottie. Also, there is Val Sheffield. Val is a professor here at UI and a bishop in one of the wards here in Iowa City.

This place is located by Heritage Halls--across from the museum and under the bell.

Correct on all accounts. I was looking at Deborah's name because I knew she was in our stake in Carmichael and I knew Jason (and possibly Adam) knew her. Adam thinks she married David Gardner, Lana and Lawrence Gardner's son. Is that correct, Jason. I didn't know about Val. Small world, huh.

I don't think she married David Gardner but I could be wrong. Stranger things have happened.
