Our new home!

Well, we are officially the owners of a new home in South Carolina. The closing date was yesterday. Thanks to Aunt Elizabeth who made it possible for this to happen. We are very excited to move in the house in one year from now. Until then, we'll just rent it out. Check out the link and click on the picture to bring up a virtual tour of the house.

Congratulations! Owning a home is a headache but I am so glad we own one. I don't ever want to go back to renting unless we have to. Well, I don't want to go back to renting an apartment. Renting isn't my favorite idea but I wouldn't be totally opposed to renting a house. Anyway, we are excited for you and more excited for you to come back to the states.

Beautiful house. It looks like you guys got a steal. That house would go for nearly $300,000 here. Owning a house was the smartest financial move we ever made.

We really did get a steal. That's one of the reasons we decided to live in South Carolina. The cost of living is so much cheaper.

Wow! Cool house and definitely a great price. I wish prices were like that out here. I looked up my cousins house on Google maps and she is only 3.4 miles from you.

We would never have enough furniture to fill that house.

Man, $165k would buy you a heap of trash here in SLC nowadays. That house looks awesome. We can't wait to make our cross-country drive some year to hit all our out-of-Utah family. Now I've just got to figure out a way to have work pay for it...

Well actually, we offered less than 165 for it. We ended up buying it for 158k. And yes, we have no furniture to fill it, but that's the fun part. I just hope Hans realizes we have to furnish the place. :))

CONGRATS!! Soon you will know the headaches of owning a house -- upkeep, taxes, etc. But it sure is nicer than renting.

Linds,

We still don't have our current house fully furnished. Take your time doing so. It isn't worth the debt.

Cousin Seth says he probably had that door slammed in his face on his mission. Congratulations, it is beautiful! When you move in we will come and stay with you, because it looks like you have tons of room! And because we miss you.
