Oquirrh Mountain Temple

This is our new temple. This temple is unique because it's being built in the same zip code as an existing temple (the Jordan River Temple). We drive past this temple construction site frequently. It's being built in the Daybreak Community at about 11400 S. and Bangerter Highway. It's been fun to watch its progress. Notice the steeple being built on the ground.

That's pretty cool to be so close to the temple and see it built in front of your eyes.

When is it supposed to be complete? Will this be "your" temple or will you still be assigned to the Jordan River Temple? Obviously, you can go to any temple you want, but each temple has a certain area assigned to it. I would assume you would still go to the Jordan River Temple. How much further along is the Draper Temple?

Yes, this will be the temple we will be assigned to. I don't know when it's supposed to be done; the church website doesn't indicate. The Draper one was announced a year before this one, so I'm assuming it'll be done much earlier.
