Nice going Adam. Someones got to add me, cause I'm bored and I've got nothing better to do... Also, does anyone happen to know any place where I can get a hold of any switch keys for a watermain switch box? funny story. And if a water line happened to be leaking, but you couldn't do anything about it, because it is the main shut off valve to the house, and it is located before the water meter, and the city says hypothetically that we were to own that section of pipe,what might I do? (My dad is in Londen, so he won't be of any assistance. However, reading this he might be likely to pee his pants)
Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware. They come in different lengths and they cost $20 to $60. Please call a neighbor or someone in the ward if this is a problem that will cause water damage to your house or a neighbor's house.
I've been watching it for a few hours now, and it doesn't seem that bad. There is water pooling around the pipe on the floor, but I have towels around the main leak and other areas of interest. The only way to stop the leak is to turn off the water to the house, or try and tighten the nut that sits between the knob and the valve body, but it is all crusty and green and I believe I could crack it. It doesn't seem all that bad right now. My dad's gonna love this.
