So now that the snow is gone, we've had severe rain for the last 2 days. It's finally stopped (after 1/4" of snow too)! Now half of the area is pumping out basements and some are evacuated. The rivers are over their banks and this morning there was a landslide downtown in the slum area. The ground is incredibly spongy. It's never going to dry out! Now watch, we won't get any more rain all spring.

Ohio weather is crazy. At least Utah is consistent with the snow. We're all over the map - rain, snow, sleet, ice, and that blasted wind!

I saw some stuff on CNN this morning about all the flooding. Missouri got 12 inches of rain in 36 hours earlier this week. That is insane. The news broadcast said that the flooding was prevalent throughout MO, IL, IN, and OH. Stay dry, Chels.
We're trying! At least we're on top of the hill! I visit teach a gal that lives in the next subdivision over and she has a flooded basement. Brent's over there right now with our spare carpet pieces and huge fan to help air it all out. Their foundation has cracks in it apparently, so water just came on in. Of course, they didn't know that, so they lost tons of stuff in the basement.
