The temple

How many of you have seen a mini-temple? Mike thought you might be interested in what they look like. They look just like the big ones but small and all the ones I've seen are usually in the same parking lot as the stake center. So here are some pictures of our trip to the temple. We decided to take the boys with us and have a picnic because they've never seen the temple. Will was really cute and kept asking if it was the "house of God." I am very large now so just keep all your "wow, Adrianne looks fat" thoughts to yourself!

Michelle's sister got married in the Columbus, OH temple which is also a small temple. Its size certainly doesn't decrease the feeling of it being a house of God, does it?

You look great, Adrianne!
My goodness -- there's something on the ground -- I think it's called grass but am not sure!
My one regret when I came out there was that I didn't get to see the temple. Thanks for sharing the photos.

What a great photo of your cute family! We're still trying to figure out when and how to get to the columbus temple. It's actually going to be closed from March 4th to the end of April. We'll have to go to the Louisville, KY temple then. I think we're pretty much right in between the two temples. I liked the Orlando temple when Lance and Nancy got married. It was also a smaller one. I think she got more attention as a bride. I was the 9th bride on my day -- and it was only 9am -- in Manti, of all places. So I say, small is great! Of course, the purpose is all the same. It just feels more reverent in a smaller one.

It is definitely a calmer experience in the small temples, not so busy like in Utah. I really enjoyed the Provo temple though. This temple has two sealing rooms I think, and only one endowment room. It also doesn't have a cafeteria. We are lucky to have the temple only 45 minutes from us. When it is our ward temple night they ask for volunteers to clean. Do they do that in other temples? I haven't done it because by the time they are done it is usually 11:00 PM and I don't think I could leave the boys that long. But one of my friend's did it and she got to vaccuum the celestial room. She said it was a wonderful experience. Am I allowed to mention these rooms on the internet? If not, I'll delete the comment.

My assigned temple is the busiest in the world (Jordan River). That's why they are building the Draper Temple and the Daybreak Temple (it's got a different real name). The temple experience is very hectic at Jordan River.

We've been asked to clean the temple, too, but I haven't done it yet.

You're fine mentioning the names of the rooms. Think of "The Holy Temple" book from Boyd K. Packer. All these rooms, their names, and pictures are included. -jess

Yeah, I don't know what you're talking about when you say you look fat! Whatever girl. I agree with Team Clark. I gained six and a half pounds this week because I'm retaining so much water that you can push your thumb into my legs and ankles and the dent will stay there for five minutes. Now that's fat!

When we move to columbia South Carolina we will be right next to a temple. I believe it's a fairly new one. I don't know if it's a small or large one, but I'm excited to be that close to one. I miss out on the opportunity of going to the temple a lot now that hans is gone.

Well, I appreciate that you all say I'm not fat. I feel really fat. Every week I have at least three people say something to me like, "You have until May? How are you going to make it that far?" or, "You are going to have a huge baby." Mike told me last night that I did look like I was further along than I was. So, it looks like I'm big I guess. Only a few more weeks to go though.
