It has been snowing since yesterday and it's still coming down. We got 2 inches last night, then woke up to a fresh new inch or so. Then since around 6a.m. it has snowed and snowed. Schools are cancelled. Jason took the bus to work since I refuse to drive in this crap. I've just been in too many accidents over the years so I really don't like to be out in hazerdous conditions. Plus then I'm adding to the already nervous crazy drivers. The bus was 18 minutes late to pick up Jason, but I'm so glad it showed up so that he didn't have to drive in it and neither did I, and so far we have over 6 inches since 6a.m. It's steadily falling and the news says it will continue to do so till 3p.m.
We are due to get at least 10-12 inches. Fun!
I taught Jared how to play Phase 10 this morning. We had a great game with 13 hands and he beat me by 5 points in the end. He HIGH FIVED ME and said, "Great game Mom, glad I beat you!"
Snow isn't so bad if you don't have anywhere to go. I did call into work again to tell them I wouldn't be there for the 5th time in 3 weeks. 3 times was from being so dead sick last week with Influenza. I was sick for an entire week. 1 time I missed work because I was waiting on the Sears man an entire day to come fix out dryer and then he didn't show up. Now today is call in #5. I might be fired, but Oh well, it's more important and fun to be home with the children playing Phase 10 and eating pancakes. We are making chocolate chip cookies soon and hot chocolate.
Every day I say, "We are one day closer to Spring!

We are get snow today too...although we only have an inch or two, I wish we had hot chocolate...we are out, but making chocolate chip cookies sounds like a great idea!

Your kids will love that they get to play games and eat yummy food all day. I'm sorry you are still getting snow.
I heard Iowa was getting slammed today. We're under another torrential downpour out here. I feel like I ought to be in Ireland or something. (Though it's not as green yet). The ground is a soggy mess. Creeks are overflowing their banks and there's flood warnings everywhere til 3am. We had a tornado warning last night too. Unfortuanately, TN got it the worst I think. I can't wait for spring too -- though I'm afraid that will mean more soggy, humid days.
I'm looking out the window at work today -- I can't find my glasses (left them at home somewhere) and I can even see the snowflakes from afar so they are big. Yuck and more Yuck.
Will it never end?!
Mom
Yes, March 12.
