Wow, Hard To Keep Up

It was a real shocker yesterday too hear Mitt Romney drop out of the race for President. I kept a close look and later heard the talk to CPAC by John McCain. It was almost too much to take in one day. The move by Romney was startling. I'll bet that the speech righters for McCain were really working after that. Perhaps he did know, since there was a reference to them talking. But that was probably after the Romney speech.

I was impressed by what Romney did. He took the high road, and lots of people noticed it and in spite of shock, were impressed by his move. He just might be looking at the best future possibilities. He would have had to win 60% of the remaining delegates to win. McCain only needs 40%. What is unbelievable is that Hucklberry needs about 83% of the unwon delegates to win. That is not going to happen. So what does he hope to gain? He must really hate Romney. It is inconceivable to think of Huck being the VP. I don't see Romney doing that either.

I am impressed by the scenario that probably happened in Mitt's case. We all, hopefully, have had the experience of having a though come into mind and knowing where it comes from. Then having a spiritual conformation of the course of action to take is a very powerful thing. I expect that Mitt had that conformation as her considered what to do about the idea of dropping out. I wish that some other elected officials would take that course of action.

McCain's speech was very well done. He almost talked me into him as the only viable alternative to O or C. The part about the judges it the most important one. The damage that O of C could do to the Supreme Court could not be quickly fixed. It would take almost twenty years. It is only now that the Court has gotten back to being closer to what the constitution says it should be. That is only speaking of the High Court. The damage to the lower courts could even be worse.

It's gotta be hard for his family to watch their personal wealth shrink as the campaign would have drug on. I dont like how mccain is now shaping the discussion on iraq as either staying and winning the broader war on terror and anything else as giving in to al qaida. I think there are more ways to skin this cat and they should be talked about calmly.

I just typed a long comment on that subject and other things on your post with the sayings, Hans. I, unfortunately, hit something and lost it before it got published. Have little time right now. Want to talk to you about this later. Thanks.

PS. Hans, since you use the same blog name as Lindsey, it would be helpful to have you sign your post or comment. That goes for everyone. I am sometimes too stupid to tell the difference between smart kids and their smart spouses.

Thanks, for responding, now I am curious as to what would preceed "winning or" which is all that shows. I got my absentee ballot in the mail today. I guess its for the primary which is in april in PA and I'll get another for the general. Not sure exactly how this works. I don't mean to be inflammatory and am excited I get to vote even though I haven't made up my mind and isnt an easy choice.
