Captain Lokodi

Congratulations to Hans!! He was made captain a couple of days ago. We are truly proud of the good work you do and want to expres our sincere congratulations to you. I don't know all the effort it takes to advance, but it seems like you are moving up in the ranks quite rapidly.
Why don't you or Lindsey tell us about the day and what kind of work it takes to achieve this honor? Mike would probably be the only one in the family that would know this so please fill us in.
We salute you, Captain Lokodi!

Oops -- I mis-typed a word (Jason and Jess!) -- it should be "express", not expres. I'm aware of the error. Sorry.

Congratulations, Hans. From what I hear, being a captain is the last real hands-on command. From Major on up it is largely political - at least according to the guy on NPR. That same guy also said that the most successful CEOs are those that were Lts and Capts.

yeah, captains are the first level at which officers can command. Company commander is a competitive position to get because it is important to have for long term career officers when they get selected for important positions and promotions down the road. It is a grueling job tho, like having one hundred some children, cause you have to take care of your Soldiers ie stay late at work, respond to troubles on weekend, accidents, misdemeanors etc.
