It is too hot in Oklahoma. I can't remember the last time it was under 80 degrees. All last week was 93 or higher and this week is supposed to be in the high 80's. It's just barely June for heavens sake. I hate it.
We've had some crazy and wild weather ourselves. We had unseasonably warm weather for the last two weeks (up to 90 degrees) and then the airport didn't even reach 50 degrees on Sunday. They had snow in Park City on Sunday and it was pretty chilly here.
We're supposed to get up close to 90 again by the end of this week.
Adrianne, you guys could always move back to Hill AFB! Or leave the military and work at L3! Mike would fit right in and could see Brent on his lunch break!
I'd trade you all in a heart beat. The difference is...you guys at least get warm weather. David was right about the crappy weather here in Europe. Here in Germany we are working on three weeks of non-stop overcast, rain, and extreme wind. Not to mention how cold it has been!! I'm wearing sweaters ever day and still getting goosebumbs!!! I could just cry. I hate this so bad. It really makes a difference on my attitude. I have seasonal depression disorder. It's June 1st and I'm still wearing a sweater. Life really stinks sometimes!
Hey ya Mike! L-3 just posted a few positions open for engineers. You could go golfing at the free putt and chip down the street during your lunch break. Brent's been doing that a lot more recently. Even if you had to move to Clearfield (HAFB) that'd be closer than OK!!
Unfortunately though, the weather here isn't supposed to be much better in the coming week. We're looking at 97 degrees by next Wed.
I think I should just clear up for everyone why the L-3 offers, while sounding nice, are an impossiblity for some years to come: Mike would be sent to prison. Give it a few years and then tell us all the good job opportunities!
Just kidding. We don't want to encourage an AWOL soldier. Finish your tour of duty in OK and then move back! I say that fully knowing that within the next two years, I could easily be looking for work out of state...
Hey, on the news last night they said actor Gary Sinise hosted a small concert to soldiers stationed at Tinker AFB. They showed some video and we looked for Mike, but didn't see him.

Prison is a small price to pay...
