Comments

Generally, you all stink at commenting. I'm not saying I'm great at it either, but you all are crap at it. Just sayin'.

I mean, you all but Jess and Jen are crap at it. The end.

Guilty as charged. I will do better. maybe.

Yeah well, you get more comments than we do usually because you're such a talented writer, and because your blog isn't private! We still love you even if we don't comment right away! And yes, Jen and Jess rock at leaving comments!

Guilty as charged! It's because I'm too lazy. I thought you'd all comment on how freakin' hilarious my husband's last post was, but nope. I guess I'm not the only lazy one. :)) (or maybe it wasn't as funny as I thought it was. :) )

I thought I was doing pretty good lately, but not so great with this blog. Sorry I can do better. What should I say now?

blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

Sometimes I feel that things I write on my blog no one really cares about, so that's why I understand when no one makes comments.

Michelle, I have noticed that you have been commenting on my blog and I really appreciate it!

I feel the same about this blog. Sometimes we go in spurts and someone will post and there will be comments all the time and then we will go a long, long time with no comments. I don't post on this blog very often because when I do, the comments are sparse. I know it's not just my posts, but others too.

I'm having a hard time with blogging lately. I've talked to Jess and Mom about it before.

I want to blog because I like having the history and I like staying connected. But then when people don't comment I feel like we aren't really connecting. I don't want an update, I want a connection, you know?

I guess blogging isn't good for that though and I need to pick up the phone or email or something so that I can still feel interaction with people and then still get to blog too.

Am I the only one that feels this way?

I love when you all comment on my blog because I feel you care about me. I know you care about me anyway, but it's always nice to see that too.

You are loved Adrianne. Just wish we lived closer. My children liked spending time at your home, it was time that went way too fast.

That was funny Michelle. Nice blah blah blah! So true though. Sometimes there's just nothing to say that feels too important.

I find myself too wrapped up in my own daily junk to take the time to comment sometimes. Or sometimes it's just that there isn't enough time to actually write out the thoughts you have about the post. I need to learn shorthand or something! Can you even do that on a computer?

Michelle said...

I wish there was a microphone system that would type for you. All you would have to do is talk into your computer and it would post the comment. Course in my luck it would work something like this:

I would say: I think today is a great day and we should all go out and play in the nice weather.

The computer would post: I drink today's eight fay would day in the heather.

See none of that would make sense and I'd look like a total idiot for sure, even though I'm awesome, no one would see it.

There are many days I read everyone's post and then never comment. I do have something to say on almost everything, or at least I feel like I want to comment, but then either I don't due to being extremely busy and I shouldn't even be on the computer anyway, or I don't becuase I'm not sure I can get my thoughts expressed like I really want them to come out. Either way I do enjoy everyone's individual blogs and the personalities that come through them. Interesting stuff and I'm very glad this family does blog stuff cause my parents have no clue how to comment on a blog, which is why you won't see any comments from my own parents on my blog and that is infuriating to me. Probably spelled that word wrong which is another reason why commenting isn't always a thing I do because Jason checks my grammer and then just shakes his head in "proper English disappointment".

Mike and Adrianne said...

Michelle, he got that from my dad.

Jason said...

Proper grammar is a sign of respect. It says that you care enough about your readers to take the time to write properly. So there :).

What's wrong with the following "sentance"?

To boldly go where no man has gone before.

A make believe gold star for the correct answer.

Mike and Adrianne said...

It's not really a sentence. There needs to be something after or before. Like so:

He decided to go to the moon to boldly go where no man has gone before.

or

To boldly go where no man has gone before, he decided to fly to the moon.

I have not idea if I'm right because I am not a grammar person, as can be seen from my blog.

Michelle, your computer translation comment made me laugh! -Jen

Ok, my comment did not save. Maybe I'll quit blogging altogether!! Grrr...
Jason, your sentence -- I don't believe you are supposed to start a sentence with a preposition and it almost sounds like a double negative. Dad would know better than I would. It is not a complete sentence, either.
I love to have people blog -- it is my only real way to see what you are all doing. You can describe on the phone what your house looks like or how the kids look, but the photos tell me more. I like to know what you are all feeling as well. This is my connecting point with my family. I still try to call on the phone, but I need to hear from you and see how you are all doing.
Dad doesn't make comments very often anymore because his computer is very sick -- on it's deathbed. It's more work to get on daily than it's almost worth.
I, too, loved your translation of what the computer might say Michelle. Funny stuff.
Please keep blogging folks! You are my daily fix!

By the way JASON, Sentence is spelled SENTENCE not sentance like you spelled it so HA HA and triple HA!!!!

Remember life before the internet, cell phones, and blogs? Not that I don't use all those things multiple times a day, but sometimes I wish they would disappear.

Michelle said...

Was that Lance or Nancy talking?

One thing I wish everyone would do that has a combined name for their comments is sign their name so that everyone knows who left the comment.

Thanks.

That famous Star Trek phrase, "to boldly go where no man has gone before," is a split infinitive. Both Mom and Adrianne were correct.
