Our Easter Sunday

Hey, I don't mean to steal Adrianne's posting thunder, but I wanted to put a few pictures on as well. We hosted an Easter lunch with Jen's side and had a sweet feast: honey-glazed ham, rolls, potatoes, deviled eggs, veggie tray, fruit salad, and slush. Delicious. Abby decided that she was in charge of decorating for lunch and since Easter and General Conference collided this year, she thought it appropriate to find as many Friend magazines as she could, opened them to the "Come Listen to a Prophet's Voice" page in the magazine, and set them up in various places around the house. Here's how she decorated the table we ate on.

After conference this afternoon, we decided to head down to Elk Ridge and enjoy the company. Adam and Amy and Gilly and Kevin were down there for dinner. While we didn't need the dinner because we were stuffed from lunch, we went down just to hang out. We ended up staying until 9:30pm and had a great time seeing everyone. It's been a while since we've been down to Elk Ridge.

It also presented an opportunity to get a pic with two of my little sistahs: the married one on my right and the one on my left who has a BOYFRIEND!!! (ask her about it sometime...)

I absolutely love the centerpieces! What a thoughtful, wonderful way to decorate a table. It's apparent that Abby put a lot of thought into the meaning of Easter and General Conference.
It was so great to have you come up. We have missed not getting together more often.

That is such a thoughtful idea of Abby's! Doesn't it make you happy when your kids do cute things like that? I'm glad you had a good Easter.
