Ammon loves to go on walks with me so I have been giving him my small camera and teaching him how to use it. He took a few good ones today and it surprised me how well he did since his hands shake quite a lot. I told him tonight that one day I would run out of things to photograph in Elk Ridge. I mean, how many times can you go on the same walk and find something different? Today I did find some things that were interesting and different. I also watched a movie last night and the main character was a photographer on the side. He was incredibly good. He told a woman in the movie that he loved to take photos because it captures a moment of beauty that will never fade or go away. I think that's why I have a hard time getting rid of most of my photos. They all represent a walk, a moment spent with somebody, a mood, or a little spot of interest and beauty in my life.
I think this is the cutest mailbox I've ever seen in my life!
Weeds -- dead weeds.
I couldn't capture the yellow Monarch butterfly that was moving from plant to plant and I was very disappointed. However, I found this butterfly and that made me happy.
I live in a very pretty town and I'm still finding something interesting.
