how did I get so lucky?

man, this Mia is a good freaking baby. I got so lucky. She sleeps for 4 hours at a time during the night and usually 3 to 3 1/2 hours during the day. She wakes up at midnight to eat, then again at 4, and then at 8 or 8:30. I feel so lucky. I literally am not even really tired. I have even had to wake her up to eat a few times because ya know.. you get a little sore. Haha.

Anyway, today when I went in to get her at 8:20, she was happy as can be! I decided I better give her a bath before her doctors appointment. We stuck her in our bathroom sink. Haha. It was the perfect size for this little one. Everyone thinks she looks so fat/chubby in all her pictures but then when you see her in person, she actually is really small. She has long skinny legs! She found her thumb in the bath today... she got that skill from her mommy.

At the doctor they told us her biliruben level had actually gone up to a 13.4. When we left the hospital monday it was a 12.3. But, now that she is older, they said she can tolerate it and its not a danger to her anymore. She weighed 7lbs 12 oz when she was born but is now 7 lbs 5 oz. the doc said that is normal for the first week but she should start gaining about an ounce a day from here on out. we go back in two weeks to check and see how she is doing. Everything else looked great, her breathing has improved and there is no heart murmur anymore. (they said she had a slight one in the hospital, but it was probably because her valve hadn't closed yet or something). They did her 2nd PKU today.. and oh my gosh, it broke my heart. I literally had tears in my eyes. She has had her feet poked a million times since she has been born and every time it makes me so sad! All that crying made her super tired though because after the appointment, she fell asleep at 1 and slept till 5:20. Then she didn't wake up to eat till 8, and has been sleeping for almost an hour now. Lucky me. Infact, I have been kinda bored because all she does is sleep! Haha. Sometimes when she is sleeping I just pick her up and hold her just to have someone near me.

I wont be taking her to church for a looooong time. There are 3 kids with RSV in our ward right now. Its rediculous. Everyone brings their kids to church sick in our ward. I can not tell you how many times I have come home from church with a sore throat or cough since I have been in that ward. Every baby always has a cough or runny nose, I swear.

I am trying to decide when to bless her.. when should we do it?

Well, just thought I would give you all a little update on our cutie. I am feeling good, although a little sore obviously, but I am happy and well and Kevin is doing GREAT with the change too. We are grateful for all the support from all of you, thanks for the prayers when she was in the NICU. It was the hardest thing for me to have to see and go through but I know there are harder things out there... luckily she is OK and home and doing well. Well, I guess I better go to bed since she is sleeping! Nighty night...

I can't wait until I can actually see her and hold her! She looks so adorable. I love it. It is still so weird for me to think about you having a baby. I mean you are just older than me, I am next. Weird. Love you and I am so happy that you are feeling better and are getting sleep. I hope she stays a good sleeper for you.

I'm still trying to get over how much hair the girl has! It's incredible. I don't think Ceci will even have that much when she's 2. She's a cutie Gilly. Congrats.
