It has been a long time since I have posted anything anywhere. And unlike my usual posts (which are mini-novellas) this one will be short and to the point.

Michelle and I have been asked to do the 5th Sunday presentation during Priesthood/Relief Society. We are to focus on how to effectively use Preach My Gospel in the home. What experiences have you had with Preach My Gospel? How are you using it or how do you plan on using it? Both of us would appreciate your insights.

Honestly, we haven't done too much with it other than using it for family home evenings. I think it's written for youth and adults, so you'd have to adapt it for younger ones. It asks good, thought provoking questions in there too.

We really should be better at using it as a study guide for our family scripture reading too. It would help Geoff prepare for a mission as he gets older.

I have only used it once, but it was for a lesson I had to give in R.S. I found it had some good questions and thoughts that could go along with my lesson theme.

We don't even have a copy of it in our home. This will prompt me to get one because I'm sure it will help Ammon have a clearer understanding of the gospel. I can't give you any help on this one. Maybe all you missionaries that used it in the field could give Jason some insights?

We've never used it in the home. When I was WML for two years, I developed a curriculum based on Preach my Gospel for the Gospel Essentials / Principles class and used that as my lesson manual. But I've never used it here in the home. -Jess

We have used it in our home but only like once or twice. We get an invitation to use it from the missionaries and then we decide to use it but only use it like once, and then we have to do it again.

I've never even held a copy of that, or read a word of it. Is that a bad thing? I have never really been introduced to it in church, to be honest.

Thanks for your comments. I have a feeling that most people have not taken the opportunity to use this resource. By the way, Preach My Gospel is a tremendous tool for teaching the gospel. If you don't have a copy, get one.
