Extending a Challenge

I will be teaching the 4th Sunday lesson this month.  I have the privilege to teach the lesson for our times and this month it's the talk given by Lynn G. Robbins from the Sunday afternoon session.  It's entitled "What Manner of Men and Women Ought Ye To Be?"  Here's the link: http://lds.org/general-conference/2011/04/what-manner-of-men-and-women-ought-ye-to-be?lang=eng&media=video

Here's my challenge to you.  I would like those of you who would like to participate to keep a parenting journal for one week, starting this coming Sunday.  In this journal you will write down your parenting experiences you have throughout that week.  The experiment would be to try "being" a more Christlike parent.
Elder Robbins said: The most important way to teach to be is to be the kind of parents to our children that our Father in Heaven is to us.
In the talk, he gives quite a few pointers for us.  If you read the talk, you'll know what your challenges will be and what you will want to work on in your own family.  I think we will all find something we could improve upon.  If you could share your experiences with me by that following Friday, I would really appreciate it.  You could leave your comments on the blog or send me an email.

Thank you all in advance for your help.

I think this is a great idea. I think I will try it and let you know the results. I keep saying "We have to model the behavior..." Jim gets sick of hearing me say it but it's true.
