Michelle was able to come see us yesterday on her way home. It was great to see her. She looks fantastic and I'm so impressed with her ability to run a half-marathon, especially when she is injured. She is the first of the Clark's that got to hold Laila.
In other news, when we left the hospital Laila was looking really good and didn't have any jaundice issues. But within a few days her bilirubin levels shot up really high. I thought they would send us home with lamps but Dr. Williams told me they didn't send lamps home and if her levels were too high they would admit her to the hospital. The cut-off for admittance to the hospital was 16.5 and she was 16.3. They told me if it went higher they would admit her. So I begged them to let us have a bili-blanket over the weekend. I took her back in on Saturday and her levels had gone down to 13 and then today are down around 11 so she's doing much better. I'm so glad she didn't have to get admitted and that the bili-blanket worked.
Finally, we got a call this morning from the transportation people on base asking if we were moving ourselves. We were like, "Uh, no." So apparently there was a mix-up and they think we are moving ourselves and when we told her we had to be in Colorado in three weeks at the latest she said, "Oh, well, you can't have packers and movers there by three weeks." So we have no idea what is happening now. We are trying to work with her to get someone here (they were supposed to come Thursday of this week) sooner but she is useless and has no helpful information for us. So our options are that we pack ourselves this week and then move ourselves and our two cars, or, Mike leaves to Colorado without me and I stay here by myself with the four kids and take care of all the moving stuff and drive the boys out by myself.
We could really use prayers concerning this matter. Right now I am choosing not to be worried, but come tomorrow and Wed. I will probably be having an anxiety attack. This isn't a good situation and I don't know what to do about it.

If you need us to drive out and help you pack up and move, I'd be glad to, just let us know. I do hope the transportation people on base figure out how to get you moved and soon. All will work out, somehow it always does, but I feel your pain and I'm sad that you even have to have this on your mind right now. Just enjoy that sweet baby in your family. I'm glad I had the opportunity to see her and hold her.
We would be happy to drive on over and help you guys move. Let us know what you decide but I have a ton of vacation time and wouldn't mind using it.
Thanks Jason and Michelle. Unfortunately, until we hear back from the transportation office, we can't make any decisions about how we will get there. It's very frustrating. I will keep you updated.
Thanks to everyone who has offered help and prayers. I got a call this morning and then a visit from the moving companies representative. They plan on having packers here on Monday and shipping our stuff out of Tuesday or Wednesday (depending on how long it takes to pack and when they can get a driver here). We've decided to get rid of my car and to drive out with everyone in the van. Things seem to be coming together nicely, and I'm looking forward to begining the next stage of our lives.
