I got online this morning to post this video link from KSL's newscast last night, but then found out about the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Wow, what a mess!
This video is for those interested in a new prenatal procedure for kids diagnosed with Spina Bifida. Not sure every kid would be a candidate, but interesting story.
Oh, and you'll notice the mom's name in the video: Jessica Thomas. Maybe I'm posting the video just because I thought I was on screen... (somewhere in the back of my head I hear Adam singing, "Jessie's girl").
This procedure wasn't an option for me or Ammon when he was born. I don't know if I would still choose to do it because there are so many risks, but if it could have prevented the Arnold Chiari malfunction, it would have been worth the risk. Most of these kids still have a lot of problems (bladder and bowel), but the biggest thing it has helped, according to other studies I've read, has been the decreased need for a shunt. Man, that would have done away with 13 surgeries for Ammon. That alone would probably have been worth the risk. Good for research!
Oh come on Jess, don't tell me you don't know what a Utah girl looks like. You're surrounded by them every day. It's not a bad thing. In fact, Hans said he thinks Utah has the best looking girls in all 50 states. :) Count your blessings men in Utah! P.S. Adrianne, I was thinking the same exact thing. I guess great minds really do think alike.
I don't mean anything by it except that she looks like a girl from Utah. There is a very distinct look. Move from Utah some day and you will know what I mean.

That's super cool. It's crazy what modern medicine can do these days.
Also, just a side note, she totally looks like a Utah girl.
Adrianne, what does that mean? -Jess
