The pile of pig pooh

I was thinking about the farm in Nebraska the other day and I remembered the big pile of manure that used to accumulate down at the sow lot. Adam and I used to throw rocks in it because well, who really knows why? We were little boys and it was fun I guess. I remembered the time one summer that we got Chelsey to walk across the pile. It had formed a crust under the hot Nebraska sun and we convinced Chelsey (who was 5 or 6 at the time) that she could walk across the pile. Sure enough, she got near the middle before she sank in. I am sitting here grinning ear to ear as I remember this. The look on her face was priceless. It was a mixture of horror and disgust. She started to cry (Adam and I were mean) but we refused to pull her out because we didn't have boots on and we certainly didn't want to get smelly and dirty. I still to this day don't remember how she got out. I am assuming Dad pulled her out and got us in trouble but I just can't recall. If I never said it before, I'm sorry, Chelsey (at least a little bit).

Oh you mean, mean man...I was most definitely devestated my 2 older brothers (whom I looked up to I might add...)would trick me into that mess. I was wearing my NEW red boots and they got sucked into that pile of crap. Literally.
I begged and begged dad or one of you to pull me AND the boots out, but the boots were a gonner. No one would get them. The saddest part of it all is that I knew that without those silly boots, I wouldn't be allowed to leave the blacktop at recess. Those were the school rules then. I was stuck getting chased around by some kid named Chad because I couldn't venture off the dumb blacktop without boots. Not sure why, maybe it was a muddy mess out there or something.

And we wonder why I have unresloved issues. Hmmm. ;) I completely blame you and Adam. Ha!

I remember well that instance. I don't remember what we did (or did not do) to you boys. (At least we didn't kill you because you are alive to tell the story.)
I was soooo sad for Chelsey because she loved those little red boots!
You guys were quite the pair.
Do you remember when you both put on a concert for us with the drums under the bridge? That was awesome!

Yeah, I remember that. I had my Trans Am t-shirt on. That was the coolest shirt.

Oh,you mean the bridge that Jason and Adam used to tell me was going to collapse when a car drove over it? I would freak out when we were down there and a vehicle would drive over the bridge. I remember it being so loud! The guys would always tease me and tell me what a baby I was. Oh, such mean brothers.

They made you into a great women. Wish that influence of brothers on a farm was still part of the family. It was the best.

I cannot remember this specific incident. Did I refuse to get the boots out?
