Most of you know that I have signed up to take a community photography class. It starts this coming Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. It will be held at the Salem High School and can I say that I am super stoked to do this thing??!! I hope I am able to learn all I can about my little click & shoot camera that I adore. The camera was the best gift I have ever been given - ever. It has given me hours and hours of joy. It has given me a reason to look at the beauty of the world rather than all its ugliness. It reaffirms my belief in a diety that created a world that is wonderous to behold.
Tonight the sky was unbelievably beautiful with spots that looked like it was on fire, and right next to the fire spots was a deep, dark blue. I couldn't begin to capture it. I tried - on every turn the scene was different. So I clicked away and Henry and Ella followed me out saying, "Grandma, why are you outside?" I said, "Because it's so very beautiful tonight. Everybody should be outside looking at the sky."

Beautiful pictures Mommy! I love them. Let me know how your class goes okay?
I agree about the sky tonight! It was so freaking gorgeous! The pictures I got just can't do it justice.
I noticed the sky last night too. It was beautiful. I was up on the bench in Sandy last night right after it got dark...all the lights below, then the mountains, then the sky...it was great and I was wishing I'd had a camera with me!
I'm glad you always have your camera with you to take such great photos! Enjoy that photo class! -Jen
And I was at home taking pictures of the moon. I took a picture of the moon with a 200mm zoom lens and could pick out detail on the moon pretty easily -- craters, mountains, etc. It was fun. Love this camera stuff. -Jess
I didn't know you had signed up for a photography class! That's awesome! Have fun!!
Wow. What a beautiful evening. Have fun in your class!
What you all do not know is that I signed her up to that class. It is a great idea, only costing fifty dollars. It will be money well spent.
The only thing is that it was strongly suggested by Chris that I do this if I wanted to stay alive after spending fifty on bands and membership dues in my pigeon club.
No worry. Mom gets so much fun and joy from it that it makes me very happy, too. I love to see he sink her teeth into something like this.

You are already really good at it, Chris! I hope you have a wonderful time. Love you... and your pictures.
