I am in charge of food for a friend's baby shower. It's not really a shower--just a get together with food and a quilt to tie. Anyway, I'm thinking different dips and cupcakes would be easy and fun. Does anyone have a favorite dip to suggest? I'm thinking a spinach artichoke dip, a buffalo chicken dip, and my friend has this great taco avacodo dip. Any other suggestions? We want a veggie tray and maybe apples with some kind of fallish dip. If you know of any dips you just love or a fall fruit idea, send them my way.

Oh my gosh, I am so hungry today and all those dips you listed sound so good! Maybe some kind of queso bean dip or something would be good. I don't know... It's all delicious. I also enjoy a good hummus too. FOOD!

I deleted the last past because I messed up on the ingredients. Here it is again.
Touch Down Taco Dip is one of my favorites.
here is the recipe:
Mix 1 8oz. container sour cream, 1 can refried beans, 2 Tablespoons Taco Seasoning, 1 cup of Sharp Cheddar Cheese, 1 8 oz. block of cream cheese.
Microwave for about 8-10 minutes on High and then dip as many chips as your body can handle into the dip. to get it to your mouth!
Most times I double this recipe and then I put chopped up cilantro on top. Other toppers could be chopped up tomatoes, more cheese or chopped up olives!
This sounds awesome Michelle.
I have a dip that Elisabeth gave me and I also found it on All Receipes.com. I made it for Jen's baby shower. Kaitlin and I loved it! It's not hard but I think I'll send it to you via e-mail rather than take up this space.
Mom. You never sent some over to my apartment the next day! Adrianne, i was going to say the same one Mom said. I need to come up with a light treat for a bridal shower.... Do you guys have any suggestions??
Chris, can you please post the recipe you have either here or on the recipe blog. I'm interested in having it.
I need to go shopping today so if you could send me that recipe today, that would be great.
