Can you believe it? The SF Giants have finally won the World Series. It's been a LONG time. I've gotta say, this has been a pretty fun series to follow. Baseball hasn't been one of the sports I follow as closely as others, so to watch these games has been interesting.
There was some amazing pitching. (Now I feel bad for those poor Rangers who've still never won a world series...just to have lost it at home would've been bad enough. Can you imagine how sad their locker room must've been?). It would've been cool to live in a city that gets to celebrate a big win like that, but quite frankly, Philly fans didn't deserve the reward. I was glad the Giants beat out the Phillies!
Anyway, congrats to you loyal fans out there that've been Giants fans for years. Your team deserves this!

This was a great series to watch. The victory is especially delicious because of how many people kept saying they couldn't do it, even after they had one the first two games of the series. Clutch pitching, hitting, and some great calls by the manager. How can you not love this group of guys?! GO GIANTS!!
The Philly fans already got their reward. They've been awfully good for a few years now. And don't feel bad for the Rangers. They haven't ever won, but it's only been 50 years. The Giants hadn't won in 56 years (thanks to Jason's Angels who helped the Giants choke somethin' serious in 2002)!
Very refreshing to watch this postseason. And very surprising. For a team who didn't even make the playoffs until the last day of the season, this has all been awesome. -Jester
It was really sad to watch the A's sweep the Giants in the World Series in '89...especially since most of my family was rooting for the A's. Yesterday's win makes up for all of that! Woohoo! Go Giants! -Jen
I was excited to see them win. I thought they won when we lived in California but Adam corrected me about that.
We liked both teams - the As and the Giants. I liked what the catcher said at the end -- "we don't have any big name players - we're just average guys that have heart." (Paraphrasing.) It is nice to get away from the Yankees drama and all the spoiled babies in baseball.
i deserved this! In all my years I have never witnessed my pro team win it all... Pacers- no. Jazz- no. Colts- I was in holland, doesn't count. Giants- FINALLY!!

I am happy for the Giants. They played some great baseball and deserved the win. By the way, how old is Lincecum? He looks like he is 16. And what is with the bushy beards in baseball?
