Roy Halladay is the Man

Roy Halladay threw only the 2nd no-hit game in baseball postseason history tonight (the other? Don Larsen of NYY fame). It was Roy Halladay's first postseason appearance. He threw a perfect game earlier this year, as well. He's good. If the Giants make it out of the first round of the playoffs, they will probably face the Phillies and get waxed.

But did you know he and his wife grew up LDS?

I didn't know that Halladay was LDS.

Daily trivia:
How many no-hitters have been thrown in post-season play since record keeping began?

I meant to write how many perfect games have been thrown in the post-season, not no-hitters.

If they grew up LDS are they still LDS? Just a funny way you said it. It sounds like they aren't active members now or aren't LDS anymore. ??

Too bad the Reds got stomped on last night. It's the first time in 11 yrs they've made the playoffs, so I had to cheer them on. Not to mention the Philly "phans" are a bit eccentric and obsessive for my taste. Really don't want them to win. If the Giants meet the Phillies, we're cheering the Giants on.

I don't think they're active. I read somewhere else that although they grew up LDS they aren't practicing now. His Doc Box charity work is pretty cool.

The only perfect game in postseason play is Don Larsen -- NYY vs. Brooklyn Dodgers in the 50's I think.

Tim Lincecum is good, too. ESPN said this: "about 35 hours ago, [Lincecum's game is] the probably the best postseason debut in history... Roy Halladay ruins it for Lincecum..."
