Party's, PT tests, and Kung Fu

When we were dating or newly married I made a bet with Mike that it was going to snow in Utah before Halloween. He thought I was nuts and I won the bet. This year I was starting to get nervous because it hadn't snowed yet but the weather came through for me and I was able to keep winning the bet after seven years. I am sure one day I will lose the bet and Mike will finally get to be right and he will rub it in....though, probably not because I'm the one that rubs it in not him (but that's only because he is used to winning bets and I am not). So, I'm sad you all have snow already but glad I am still winning my bet.

Today the boys have a Halloween party to go to for Isaac's preschool and tomorrow is Will's party, then trick-or-treating at Mike's work, then the trunk-or-treat at in the evening. Tomorrow will be a crazy day!

Mike had to take his PT test yesterday. He has been stressing big time about this test. Mike has always done very well on his PT test but the rules changed this year and people were failing the test left and right. Mike always gets a lot of points for his waist size and does fine in all the other areas. But he doesn't do a ton of push ups or sit ups so he was nervous. He had to do 33 and he said he could do like 35 in a minute or something. So he's been working hard to get ready and we have all been praying for him. At 1:00 yesterday he was taking his test and the boys and I said a little prayer for him and he did awesome. He ran his mile and a half in 10 minutes, did 45 push ups and 55 sit ups (or the other way around....he'll have to correct this). He got a 93% on his test and was so relieved!

And finally, the boys started Kung Fu and I have to say that it is the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life. I'm so happy we put them in it. They are both loving it and Isaac is really doing so well. I love watching them. Yesterday they got their first belts and were so proud of themselves.

The airforce only has to run a mile and a half? The army has to run two miles as well as push-ups and sit-ups. Glad to hear he did a great job.

The boys look so cute in their little Kung Fu uniforms. I'm glad they're liking it. Is Eli jelous?

Yeah, the Army focuses on physical a lot more than the Air Force because they are actually doing combat and the Air Force is not. Mike said their entire test is harder than the Air Force.

Eli is a little jealous but he is doing fine. He gets to stay with one of us and do something fun while the boys are gone.

Yeah for Mike!!! Congratulations!
Your boys should get with Henry. He is taking Karate and has a cute white outfit. I hope Adam shows him this picture.
Fun post.
