Exquisite Views
This morning I went to physical therapy instead of work. On the way home, I saw the most breathtaking view. The south end of Utah Valley is always beautiful, but today with the play of clouds, sun and fall colors, it was spectacular. This is when I wish I could take a photography class and get a better camera. I wish I had a wide angle lens because it was beautiful from every angle.

A week ago I got the flu shot through my work. About 9 hours later, I began to exhibit flu-like symptoms with a fever and achy body. I didn't feel well the following day and only went to work for a couple of hours. I felt great on Thursday and Friday but was sick with a fever again Saturday and Sunday. I just didn't feel very good all weekend. I felt fine on Monday but yesterday about noon, the same thing came over me. I went out to my car during my lunch hour and slept all wrapped up in a zebra fleece blanket. I took the blanket in with me to work and sat with it wrapped all around me for the rest of the day. My neck has been hurting for a while and the headaches have increased so I went in to have them work on it and it seemed to help. My boss told me to stay home and let my body fully recover so I stayed home and slept for a while. I didn't have a fever this morning. But it's coming in again. I get a little dry cough as soon as the fever begins to escalate. Jim talked to Dr. Valdez last night because they went in for their flu shots - Dr. Valdez said I don't have the flu and can't get anyone else sick. I may have something else unrelated to the shot or I may have had a reaction to something in the shot. The flu virus in the shot is dead. So I'm stumped. I am beginning to shiver again so I'm going to close and go wrap myself in the zebra fleece blanket and see if I can't get over this stupid thing, whatever it is. I've never had a reaction to the flu shot in my life so it must be something else. Shiver, shiver. Grrr.....

Do I need to buy you a snuggie to wear and keep you warm at work? You know I can find a really obnoxious leopard print out here in a heart beat. Say the word. ;)
The pictures are great! Sorry you've been sick...hopefully it'll get better. I have a bright pink snuggie...I should have brought it to you on Sunday! -Jen
One more try....blogger isn't being friendly to me anymore with comments. It won't let me see the word verification and it won't let me publish. So let's try again.
I'm sorry you are sick. I'm glad you could stay home and get some rest. I love the pictures. Makes me miss Utah.
I cant wait to see those mountains and the whole area agian. I miss is so much! Let us know what happens after your Dr visit. Hopefully they figure it out and you can get some relief!
Adrianne, I'm getting that same thing, too! I never seem to notice that the visual verification hasn't drawn until I already type in my comment. My work around has been to finish my comment, select all the text, press CTRL-C to copy it to memory, then press F5 to refresh the comment page. The visual verification shows up finally and then I paste (CTRL-V) in my already-typed comment. Whew! -jess
I've been having the problem with no visual verification showing up for a long time. I just type in my username and password and hit publish. It obviously won't publish, but I don't have to copy or paste anything because I don't lose it - it just doesn't publish. Once I hit publish, it will bring up the verificiation picture so I can then add that. I don't have to type in my username again but I do have to type in my password. It's a pain in the butt - anybody know why this is happening?
I am also having the same problem. I handle it the same way Mom does.
Anyway, sorry you are sick. I never get a flu shot because every time I do anything that needlessly challenges my immune system, I seem to get sick. The last time I gave blood I was sick for nearly three weeks. I also never get the flu (knocking on wood as I write). I hope you start feeling better soon.
