Just know this: if your blog objective is readers and comments, going private will kill both (I forget Chelsey even has a blog except for the once every two weeks I remember to click on it).
If your intention is a personal journal chronicling your life and girlie things like menstrual cycles, heck, you should have gone private when you started!
Don't feel bad when your comments and drop off the face of the earth. It's just a part of private blogging. -Jester
Hey, thanks Jess. Nice to know I'm important. Sniff, sniff...
Just kidding. He's right though. Comments are not what you get when you go private. You always have to tell people you've updated your blog or they won't know to look.
The purpose of going private isn't to stop people you know and love from reading it, because they'll still ask for an invite to your blog. It's more for privacy from folks you don't know and don't want to read all about you. Also for personal items like Jess mentioned. Good luck Gilly!
I understand why you are doing it, Gillian. I'll still visit your post. Facebook and blogs are good up to a point but so often things are taken out of context or misunderstood. There's nothing like a good face-to-face conversation or a phone call. I am finding more and more that I have no need for those cyber friends. I want real people that care enough to call me or come and visit. This blog is a great way for me to see my grandchildren grow and I love it but it still doesn't replace the hugs and kisses.
You could do comment moderation on your blog. This way every time someone makes a comment on your blog, you can review it first then decide if it gets posted. Just a thought so you wouldn't have to go private, unless that's what you really want. Either way you decide, if you go private feel free to send Jason and I your blog invite. You probably have his e-mail, not sure if you have mine because I don't have your e-mail.
I'm with Mom. The problem is that it is hard to have good face to face conversation with Adam or Chelsey or Gillian on a consistant basis. So, for now, this blog will have to do it for me.

Chelsey, just so you know, I check your blog MUCH more often than Jess does! And I'll still check yours too Gillian! -Jen
Jen, Granted, I haven't had many blog posts lately since I can't find the camera. Looking for a new one today.
I wonder if our old one got thrown out in a moving box or something. It just disappeared!
