Our move

I've had questions about our new timeline for moving. Here is what I know:

1. The Acadmemy had two slots for teachers. Mike was their third choice. They told him they were picking up another slot for him and that he needed to be out in Colorado by December.

2. We weren't supposed to move to Ohio until around Aug. but Mike was worried about getting his degree finished in 15 months so he talked them into letting him come three months early so he could get an early start.

3. They emailed him and told him that they still only have two slots and don't know what to do with him. We don't know if they thought someone was going to move or retire and now that isn't happening or what. It seems stupid to me that they would slot him for something they don't have available in the first place.

4. Mike will hopefully be done with his degree in November but if not, mid-December. So, once he finishes, he's supposed to take Mechanical Engineering classes so he will be more prepared to teach in April. Of, if he so chooses, to write articles for journals and go to conventions to present his findings--just so he can look cool. There's one other thing he can do but I can't remember what it is....

5. We are still planning on coming out for Christmas. Before, we were going to drive to Colorado, drop off our stuff and then come to Utah. Because we were moving, the drive would be paid for by the Air Force. Now, we will have to fly because we don't have two weeks worth of time to drive and stay for a week and drive back. Plus, who wants to drive from Ohio to Utah? Because we are flying we will have to pay for five tickets and it's going to be very pricey. And, we won't be able to fly our presents out so I will have to mail them all out to Utah and then mail them all back (maybe I can get them to fit in a suitcase?)

6. I'm bummed but trying not to be so that's all I want to say right now.
