- Like Will, Abby started school yesterday. Unlike Will, Abby came home fairly talkative and said she "loved" her first day of 2nd grade. Leah starts afternoon kindergarten next week and Lauren starts a preschool class shortly after. Jen won't know what to do with herself!
- Our basement has picked up a bit of steam lately. I purchased some awesome casing and base molding at half price from KSL classifieds, we painted them, and will install them this weekend. Jen will set up a carpet install, but it's making me gulp. It'll cost nearly $1,000 to have roughly 400 sq. feet of carpet and pad installed in our basement. OUCH!
- I took the Scouts up to the Uintas last weekend (Thursday - Saturday) and we had such a great time. There's nothing like camping at 10,000' during the summer at a lake. We had such great weather, scenery, and food, that I actually realized my calling wasn't so bad! We even worked on and nearly finished three merit badges: Forestry, Canoeing, and Tracking (one of the merit badges ONLY offered this year because of the 100 year anniversary of Scouting in America). I posted 40 photos online. Check 'em out if you haven't.

I did see your photos - some very nices one, indeed. It looked like you had a great time camping with those scouts.
I'm glad Abby liked school and I can't believe that Leah is going to kindergarten already! Wow, Jess, you're getting old.
Two days of dropping off Abby at school and not a single tear! This is a big improvement from past years! -Jen
Good job Jen! I didn't cry today either. It was kinf of nice. And, he said today was great so that makes me even happier.
Oh, I was referring to tears from Abby...she has had a REALLY hard time going to school the last two years, but this year has been great. I, on the other hand, have a harder time than her and did cry a little the night before. -Jen
The pictures look great Jess. There really is nothing better than waking up to a sunrise like that in the mountains.
-Lance
Great looking pictures Jess. Lance was right about the sunrise. Incredible.
