Yesterday morning, Jim fixed breakfast and then called us in for prayer. When I got in the kitchen, I noticed that Jim had cooked bacon (which Kaitlin hates) and had made potato patties from mashed potatoes (which Kaitlin hates). He also had yogurt on the table (which Kaitlin does like). I said, "Did you make toast or eggs? Something for Kaitlin?" Jim said that was all he had time to make so that's all we would get for breakfast. Mind you, I am ALWAYS grateful when Jim fixes any meal but I was surprised at his combinations although I like both the bacon and the potatoes. Ammon was at the table with us because we have prayer and read scriptures every morning. He listened to the exchange but said nothing.
He has become more and more agitated about Kaitlin moving, stating that he will be very lonely when she leaves. This morning he called me in his bedroom and said, "Mom, you know when Kaitlin moves out and leaves me here alone, it's going to be like only bacon on the plate and nothing else." (A pretty sparse meal for sure after all these years and all these kids.)
I burst out laughing and told him that we'd spoil the heck out of him as though he isn't already! He's no dummy... He's just funny.

That's pretty funny! Lucky for him most people LOVE bacon. I know I do! -Jen
Funny boy! It won't be so bad, Ammon. Katy is so busy now anyway that she probably isn't home a lot now. She will come back and visit!
Guess that means Ammon will have to milk it for all it's worth!
Lonely? I am not sure what that is like. Mmmm, bacon!
