Kaitlin spoke in Sacrament meeting today and did a great job. Jim taught Gospel Doctrine and I forgot that I was supposed to lead the music during the Sacrament meeting until they announced the opening song and none of the numbers matched with what was up on the wall. The organist was looking around for somebody as she began to play the opening lines - then it struck me -- this was the week I was supposed to substitute for the regular chorister. I jumped up out of my seat and almost ran up to the front, gasping for breath through the whole song. (Dang, I'm out of shape.)
Gillian sang in her ward so I rushed over there to accompany her. Luckily I didn't blow it for her and she did a beautiful job as usual.
The grip of winter has moved in - I hope it doesn't stay long. We got about 3" of snow within an hour tonight. I don't know how much we will end up with by morning. It's supposed to be fairly nice the rest of the week.
Jim and Ammon were getting ready to go home teaching tonight when I heard Jim holler for me to hurry quickly and come into our bedroom. He had blood gushing out of a gash on the side of his leg, just in front of his right calf. He had scraped his leg against a paint scraper with a top like a long razor blade. I packed the deep cut with gauze and taped it tightly and then rushed him to the ER. The cut was about 4 1/2" long and he had to have several stitches and a Tetnus shot. Home teaching got scrapped for tonight.
We set a record for an ER stay -- one hour!! I guess if you are bleeding enough, they don't make you wait. Dr. Egbert stitched Jim up and sent us on our way. When we went outside, we were hit with a nasty snow storm. It wasn't the most fun we've ever had on a Sunday night.

Yikes. I'm glad dad is ok. Totally not fun.
The bathroom is looking great. Can't wait to see everything all finished.
The bathroom does look great. I'm excited for you to have such a nice bathroom! I'm glad you guys had such a short stay at the hospital...you've spent enough time in them already! -Jen
