You guys are pretty swell

Wow, I've read all 117 comments (as of 10:55pm on Monday) on Ammon's blog. That was really cool to see the response. I know Adrianne, Chelsey, Gillian, and Lance all did outreaches to their network of friends on Facebook and that was pretty cool. But perhaps the thing that really stands out to me is what this all means: most those people don't know Ammon from Adam (no, not Adam Clark, the new father, but Adam, Eve's lesser half). The fact that so many people responded to the outreach says something about my siblings and parents.

It's obvious that each of you has impacted a plethora of people all over the planet. It all started with the impact Mom and Dad (and their gaggle of kids) had on wards and neighbors in the million places they've lived. Early signs indicate that the children of Jim and Chris are having the same impact on their wards and neighbors.

I'm lucky to have a good family. Thanks for the fun day.

I think the outpouring for Ammon speaks volumes for everybody. What a fantastic idea you girls had and what an overwhelming response we had. Ammon was so excited to read them. I know that he will go back to them over and over again - especially when he can sit up and get on the computer on his own.

Thank you to all who made this a wonderful day for him.

I'm lucky to have such fantastic children - each and every one of you - and I am including all the spouses as well.

You do have wonderful children, and they were taught well by their Mother. What an extrodinary legacy you are creating!!
Jen and I would like to put Ammons birthday wishes into a scrap book form and bring it up and surprise Ammon, unless the sisters have already planned something.(hmm..guess I shouldnt exclude Jason, Adam, Jess, Lance and David-they are some pretty crafty boys!!)
Chris, you and Ammon are my heroes!! Well done both of you!

That would be awesome, Marci! I for one have always felt we were very lucky Jess married Jen and joined into another awesome family. I, and I am sure everyone, loves the Ellet family!

Jess, I was thinking the same thing last night. I couldn't believe how many people responded and I kept thinking of the impact one person had on the world. These people knew one of us (there are a few that don't konw any of us but heard the story and came on over) and then they read Ammon's story and were inspired by him. In turn, Ammon's life has now impacted them. Very cool.

Marci, I just saw the comments on this post and we would LOVE to have the comments put into a little book form - or however you do it. I hope to actually one day do a whole book for Ammon from his blog like Adrianne does - but only after things have settled down a bit. He loves things like this and he would treasure it forever.
What a great idea. Thanks so much for your support and encouragement.
We're sorry Jen and the little girls have been down with a cold. Hope they get well very soon!
